New mapping firm
A newly established woman-owned mapping firm, KAPPA Mapping, Inc., has opened its headquarters recently at 6 State St. Claire Kiedrowski and Lori Phillips founded the company, which will specialize in photogrammetric mapping services throughout the country. Both are graduates of the University of Maine’s survey engineering program.
Ricky Craven Foundation
The management, employees and customers of VIP Parts, Tires and Service raised $67,984 for the Ricky Craven Foundation recently, surpassing last year’s donation of $27,475. On Jan. 30 at the VIP store on Odlin Road, John Quirk, president and chief executive officer of VIP, presented Craven with an oversized check made out to the Ricky Craven Foundation.
