NEWTON, Mass. – Annie McIntosh scored 16 points to help lead the Husson College Braves to a 61-57 women’s basketball win over Lasell Friday night.

Crystal Martin added 15 points for the Braves.

Mandi Rapisardi netted 18 points for Lasell College and Lindsay Buchberg had 15.

At Boston, Lindsay Snider scored the game-winning goal at the 10:29 mark of the third period to lead Northeastern University to the win.

Amy Goodney netted two goals for 13-7-7 Northeastern and Mia Mucci added a goal. Rebecca Peters and Kathryn Sand both had an assist. Chands Gunn made 34 saves on 37 shots.

Tristan Desmet, Meagan Aarts, and Keena Tatomir all scored a goal for the 8-14-4 University of Maine. Cheryl White, Vicky Johnstone, and Naomi Smethurst all had an assist. Lara Smart stopped 28 of 32 shots.

Men’s basketball

Lasell 84, Husson 68

At Newton, Mass., Evans Cazeau netted 25 points to help lead Lasell College to the win over Husson College of Bangor.

Napoleon Sandeford added 21 points for Lasell.

Dwayne Ailey paced Husson with 17 points. Phil White added 14 points and Buddy Leavitt put in 10.

WASHINGTON – American University used a 12-2 run late in the game to pull away from Holy Cross for a 65-51 victory Friday night.

Jason Thomas and Jernavis Draughn led American, each tallying 12 points. Thomas’ dunk off an alley-OOP pass from Andres Rodriguez (5 assists, 3 steals) sparked the Eagles with seven minutes remaining in the game.
