BANGOR – G. Clifton Eames was elected chairman of the board of directors of the Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the corporation’s annual meeting. Eames is the immediate past president of the 175-year-old facility.
Other officers elected included Kenneth Huhn, vice president; Debbie Cyr, secretary; and Nelson Durgin, treasurer. Board members re-elected to three-year terms ending 2007 are Jim Tyler, Rick Warren, Frank McGarry, Pat Kelly and Tracy Gran.
The corporation membership elected John Rohman of Bangor to the organization’s board. Rohman is a principal with WBRC Architects and Engineers, a former member of the Bangor City Council and the chairman of the Maine Arts Commission.
The Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was chartered in 1828 and operated by the city of Bangor until 2001 when it became a private, nonprofit corporation.
