NEWTON, Mass. – The University of Maine-Farmington and Husson College were both eliminated in North Atlantic Conference semifinal games Friday night.
Lasell defeated UMF 86-74 and Castleton State beat Husson of Bangor 75-62.
Lasell plays Castleton today for the NAC today.
In the first game, Sean Manovill poured in 26 points to lead Castleton by Husson.
Dan Bevis added 13 and Ray Daley had 10. Joel Leitchnam helped with 11 rebounds.
Tyler Muzzy scored 13 for the Braves. Buddy Leavitt and Phil White had 12 apiece and White grabbed 11 rebounds. Dwayne Ailey added 10 points.
In the second game, Napoleon Sandeford and Stern Chamblain each scored 19 to lead Lasell. Evans Cazeau added 14, Demetrius DeJesus 11 and Michael Unwin 10.
Steve Gin led the Beavers with 20 points. Luke Nielsen followed with 17 points and nine rebounds. Bob Deetjen netted another 17 points and Travis Magnusson 10 points and 10 assists.
