LIMESTONE – The Pattison Sign Group Inc., a Canadian-based producer of customer electric signs, has begun operations at the manufacturing and assembly plant at the Loring Commerce Centre, creating 37 new jobs.

Pattison has leased 40,000 square feet of manufacturing space from the Loring Development Authority with an option to lease an additional 40,000 square feet during the first five years of operation.

The Loring Commerce Centre now employs 1,500 people, more than a 100 percent replacement of the 1,100 civilian jobs that were displaced when Loring closed its military doors in 1994, according to a recent press release.
