WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Olympia J. Snowe has been presented with the Senate Congressional Advocacy Award from the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems.

Snowe, who accepted the award at her Capitol Hill office this week, is a longtime advocate of expanding affordable access to mental health care and psychiatric hospitals. Dennis King, CEO of Spring Harbor Hospital in South Portland, presented her the award.
