Mid-coast Audubon Society is offering scholarship opportunities for the summer of 2004 to residents of the midcoast. This area runs along the coast from Boothbay to Belfast and inland from Whitefield to China. Scholarships are available for Youth Camp at Hog Island and Field Ornithology for Adults at Hog Island.
Adult scholarships are available through the Jean Boyer Hamlin Scholarship for studies related to ornithology. This scholarship may be used for ornithology courses at the college or post-college level as well as camp sessions. The Audubon camp at Hog Island will offer a session in Field Ornithology from June 27-July 3. Youth scholarships are available to Hog Island youth camp for ages 10-13. Dates for the Youth Camp are July 21-30 and Aug. 2-11.
