Bangor police arrested two men who were shouting obscenities at another man Thursday evening.
Officer Brad Hanson reported that at about 6:45 p.m. he and Officer Wade Betters went to the intersection of Main and Union streets, and met with a man who said he was being followed and harassed.
As Officer Betters spoke with the complainant, a man later identified as Norman R. Hall, 45, of Hermon yelled that the man was a child molester. Hall then went into a nearby bar with a man later identified as Noah J. Hall, 22, also of Hermon.
The officers went into the Tavern and escorted both men out. Hanson said both men continued to yell, swear and call the complainant a child molester. Both were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
