Bar Mills man crushed beneath mobile home

BALDWIN – A Bar Mills man was crushed to death Saturday beneath a mobile home that slipped as he was helping to get it ready to be moved, authorities said.

George Patterson, 60, was pinned beneath the trailer on Pearl Drive and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department said.

Patterson was under the building releasing a brake and another man was using a bucket loader to jack up the mobile home when it slipped onto Patterson, the department said.
