ORONO – The MDI Sharks racked up finished second in the overall team results and were the runners-up in both the boys and girls portion of the YMCA state championships last weekend.

The Long Reach Swim Club of Bath won all three portions, scoring 2,5091/2 points to MDI’s 2,059 in the overall meet. Twin Cities Swim Club of the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA posted 1,2771/2 points to finish third.

Pine Tree Swim Club of the Greater Portland YMCA was third in the girls meet and Twin Cities was third in the boys meet.
