The winners of the State Drama Festival, held Friday and Saturday, have been announced. Twelve schools competed in the Division I finals at Camden Hills Regional High School in Rockport and six schools competed in the Division I finals held at Winthrop High School.

“Pals,” performed by Hermon High School, and “Tattercoats,” performed by Lawrence High School in Fairfield, were named the winners in Division I.

Lawrence and Falmouth High School will represent Maine at the New England Drama Festival, to be held April 22-24 at Lawrence in Fairfield. Hermon and the alternate, Yarmouth High School’s production of “Cleveland,” did not register for the event in time to participate.

Messalonskee High School’s production of “Under Milkwood” won Division II and “The Bright Blue Mailbox Suicide Note,” performed by Lisbon High School, was named the runner-up.
