DENVER – The Colorado Avalanche recalled defenseman Brett Clark from Hershey of the AHL on Wednesday to replace John-Michael Liles, who has a bruised knee. Liles was hurt during the Avalanche’s 2-2 tie with Chicago on Tuesday and is listed as day to day.

DENVER – The Colorado Avalanche recalled defenseman Brett Clark from Hershey of the AHL on Wednesday to replace John-Michael Liles, who has a bruised knee.

Liles was hurt during the Avalanche’s 2-2 tie with Chicago on Tuesday and is listed as day to day.

Clark, who played for the University of Maine in 1995 and 1996, has a goal, an assist and four penalty minutes in eight games with the Avalanche this season. He has been recalled five times from Hershey.
