BANGOR – The Union Street Brick Church will feature six performances of its third annual Passion Play, the Easter story of Jesus. All performances will be held at 7 p.m. on March 26, 27 and 28, and April 2, 3 and 4 at the church, located on the corner of Union and Main streets in downtown Bangor.

This year’s Passion Play is based on the Gospel according to Luke, with all dialogue drawn directly from that text. Actors from several area churches will participate in the production.

At 3 p.m. Friday, March 26, the Passion Play cast will walk up Main Street from Pickering Square to the Union Street Brick Church, accompanying an actor portraying Jesus, who will be riding on a donkey. Tambourines and drums will herald the procession. The public is invited to participate.
