BANGOR – Eastern Maine Girls Hockey, a cooperative effort of Penobscot Valley Hockey, Brewer Youth Hockey and Bangor Youth Hockey, won the Maine Girls Hockey State Invitational Championship for ages 16 and under March 5-7.

Approximately 30 girls participate in the EMGH program on three levels.

The girls who won the championship were sponsored by Nurse Anesthesia of Maine. They were coached by Greg Askins and assistant coach Al Shultz.

This is the first year the group has skated together.
