FORT MYERS, Fla. – Laura Olmsted homered as the Colby College softball team earned a 4-3 win over Plymouth State Wednesday. The White Mules went on to beat Oneonta State 5-3 in the second game.
In the first game, the Mules earned an unearned run in the eighth to notch the win. Elizabeth Riley and Essie Widlanski had two hits apiece.
In the second game, Miki Starr hit a leadoff homer to get Colby of Waterville started. Michaelyn Bortolotti had two hits and scored twice while Megan Bovill tripled and scored.

At Clearwater, Fla., Matt Wyatt knocked an RBI double and scored on a single by Cory Getz to lead the Big Blue past the Gorham-based Huskies.
Eric Stechmesser delivered two RBI singles for the winners and Toby Johnson pitched a five-hit complete game.
Colin Loveless notched an RBI single for USM while Adam Lemieux knocked in a run on a fielder’s choice.
