BANGOR – Traffic at Bangor International Airport increased by 30 percent in February compared with the same month last year.

It was the second straight month in 2004 that the airport recorded over-the-year gains. In January, BIA logged a gain of 17.6 percent over the 2003 figure.

“The airport continues to experience above-average passenger growth with one of our best Februarys ever,” said Rebecca L. Hupp, BIA director.

“The fact that we now offer daily jet service to five major points of connection makes us an easy choice for travelers from our region,” Hupp said.
