PITTSFIELD – From stepsister to fairy godmother, it’s a great description of a balletic career.

Stacey O’Donal, an honor student at Maine Central Institute, played the part of one of the stepsisters when the Bossov Ballet Theatre’s production of “Cinderella” was performed to acclaim in 2001 at the Waterville Opera House.

O’Donal has continued to dance, taking on parts such as that of Queen Sugar Plum in last fall’s “The Nutcracker.”

Now it’s back to “Cinderella,” for the dancer, and a larger part.

She performed the fairy godmother last weekend at the Bangor Opera House, and will be on hand to reprise the role when “Cinderella” moves on to the Waterville Opera House at 7 p.m. April 17.

Tickets for reserved seats may be obtained by calling 873-7000. Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and for youths 16 and under.
