BOSTON – University of Maine women’s ice hockey forward Meagan Aarts has been named to the 2003-04 New England Hockey Writers Association Women’s Division I all-star team. Aarts led Maine in scoring this season with 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points. She finished her senior season as the Black Bears’ career scoring leader with 61 goals and 55 assists for 116 points. Her 55 assists are a school record, while her 61 goals are second-best in school history.

The Watford, Ontario, native previously was named to the All-Hockey East first team.
