More people in Augusta

Gov. Baldacci wants to cut Medicaid while we hire 95 new people. We have more people in Augusta than any other state per 1,000 population. They say it’s because of a low population count in state. What about North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico? We pay their expenses and people could suffer or die because we cut their Medicaid.

For 79 years, I have seen Maine take care of its older citizens, but it sure is trying to change. I hope for their survival people vote into office those whom are looking out for our way of life and taking care of one another. If not, me might as well all move to Washington, D.C., where our governor got his training, I guess.
