I would like to send a sincere thank you to the ladies and gentlemen who came out to greet us and welcome us back home with hugs and kisses. Our recent flight arrived around 1:30 a.m., yet the shops were open and there was a wonderful group at the terminal gate to greet us.

There was even one family with two young daughters. I think we all wanted to bend down and hug those children.

Fort Hood had a nice ceremony for us when we reached Texas, but the welcome we received from the people of Bangor is my favorite memory of coming back home.
