Darren E. Hartford has been promoted to lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. Hartford is a KC-135 aircraft commander with the 93rd Air Refueling Squadron of Fairchild Air Force Base, Spokane, Wash.

Hartford is the son of Priscilla and David Hartford of Smithfield.

Army Pvt. Jesse T. Bosdell has graduated from the automated logistical specialist advanced individual training course at Fort Lee. Petersburg, Va.

Bosdell is the son of Gina Leone of Skowhegan.

Air Force Airman Adam R. Marsh has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Marsh is the son of Gina Squiers of Sangerville.

Army Reserve Sgt. Jason E. Lubitz has returned to the U.S. after completing an overseas deployment in Iraq. Lubitz is a member of the Garrison Support Unit, Fort Bragg, Fayetville, N.C. He is a motor transport operator.

Lubitz is the stepson of Scott E. Pardy and the son of Peggy S. Pardy of Orland.
