Taylor holds off Williams at Wiscasset

WISCASSET – Jeff Taylor of Mercer was barely able to hold off 18-year-old rookie Corey Williams of Boothbay for the Prostock win Saturday at Wiscasset Raceway.

Boothbay’s Peter Oakes rallied to take third place, and Mark Watson of Clinton and Bar Harbor’s John Phippen rounded out the top five.

Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

At Beech Ridge, Bub Bilodeau of Standish rolled to the win in the NASCAR Pro Series by holding off Scarborough’s David Oliver. Jay Sands of Seabrook, N.H., took the third spot, Lyman’s Alan Tardiff was fourth, and Steve Carrier of Saco finished fifth.
