MARS HILL – The Maine Department of Transportation will resume the rebuilding of Route 1 this week.

The affected area includes the intersection of Route 1 and Route 1A, extending north on Route 1 for 11/2 miles, ending at Clark Street. Drivers should use caution and allow themselves extra travel time through mid-June.

Remaining work includes sidewalks, paving the final surface, placing topsoil and seeding, adjusting sewer manholes and placement of asphalt curbing.
