Outlook: The Bears take on the Mules in the oldest baseball rivalry for UMaine. The programs first met in 1881. UMaine has won five of its last six games, while Colby has lost 14 in a row. The Bears have been hitting more consistently of late, which puts even more pressure on opponents, which must deal with UMaine’s formidable pitching staff.

Outlook: The Black Bears are coming off a four-game losing streak after dropping a game against national power Massachusetts and a three-game series against America East leader Albany. With Boston University coming to town Wednesday for a doubleheader, UMaine likely won’t want its pitching corps to tire out against Colby. The White Mules have won seven straight powered by Bonner, who batted .417 (10-for-24) last week.
