DYER BROOK – Adam Anderson pitched three shutout innings and had a double and single to lead the Southern Aroostook High School Warriors to a season-opening 14-4 schoolboy baseball win over visiting Hodgdon Monday.
Zack Austin had a double, single and one RBI while Evan Boutilier hit an RBI double.
Matt Hoovey hit two singles and pitched the first three innings for Hodgdon. Bruce Currie hit a two-run double.

At St. Agatha, Bryan Grew pitched a five-inning no-hitter and allowed only three walks in the shutout while fanning 11 batters for Central Aroostook of Mars Hill.
Grew also tripled and singled for the Panthers as Jeff Clockedile and R.J. Richardson each hit a triple.

At Dyer Brook, Amanda Charette hit two doubles and a single and drove in four RBIs to help lead Southern Aroostook past Hodgdon.
Chelsea Collier tossed a two-hitter for the win, allowing four runs while striking out nine. Audrey Charette doubled and singled and knocked in three runs.
Tasha Dwyer and Erin Foster each doubled for Hodgdon.

At St. Agatha, Amber Voisine delivered eight runs with two triples and a double to lead Wisdom past Central Aroostook of Mars Hill.
Kayle Daigle hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning and also had a couple of singles for Wisdom. Robyn Dyment tripled and singled and Michelle Bourgoin hit a double and a single.
Rachel Graves hit a triple, double, and a single for Central Aroostook. Jessica Grew and Alicia Rideout each hit a pair of singles.

At Limestone, Nikki Michaud threw a one-hitter over five innings, striking out seven and walking 10, and Ella Coffren and Meagan Pelletier hit two-run doubles in a seven-run second inning that wiped out a 4-2 deficit.
Pelletier also had a triple to go with her double and Coffren added another double. Each drove in three runs. Jacinda St. Pierre doubled and singled and drove in two runs and Crystal Silva had two singles and an RBI.
Amy Vaillancourt singled for Van Buren’s only hit.
