Restaurant expansion

BREWER – Officials at the Muddy Rudder restaurant on the Brewer waterfront have announced its expansion to the second floor of the facility.

Construction of the meeting and banquet facility, to serve groups of 40 to 120 people, is under way and the opening is scheduled for May.

“The expansion of the Muddy Rudder restaurant in Brewer will address the growing demand for premium meeting space in the eastern Maine region,” said general manager Tom Workman. “As a result, we anticipate increasing our current staffing by 50 percent.”

The new space will be accessible by both stairs and elevator.
