Veazie police arrested a woman after she allegedly bit her husband’s arm Wednesday afternoon.

Officer Brian Sirois said that at about 3:20 p.m. he went to a Chase Road address after a woman called police saying she wanted her husband removed from their home because of a dispute.

When Sirois arrived, Pamela Lahey, 51, of Veazie told him her husband had not assaulted her, but she admitted she did hit him.

Sirois spoke with the husband outside the house. He agreed that Lahey hit him. He also showed Sirois a red bite mark on his arm, which he said Lahey gave him. The scuffle had occurred at about 2:30 p.m., Sirois said.

Sirois told Lahey she was under arrest, at which point he said she started walking out of the house. He grabbed her and put her in a wrist hold, he said, and handcuffed her. She was charged with assault and taken to Penobscot County Jail.

A telltale tattoo led to the arrest of a wanted man who refused to identify himself to police Wednesday afternoon.

Bangor police Officer William Lawrence reported that at about 1:15 p.m. he and Officer Greg Sproul went to a Deer Isle Road address, after Sproul received information that Jason Kilpatrick, 23, was there.

Kilpatrick had five active warrants, Lawrence said.

Sproul found a man in the kitchen who said he was not Kilpatrick, but he had no identification. Lawrence said dispatch gave them a description of Kilpatrick, which included a tattoo on his left shoulder.

Lawrence said the man started shaking when they asked him to show them his left shoulder. He admitted he was Kilpatrick, explaining that he denied it because he didn’t want to go to jail.

Kilpatrick was taken to Penobscot County Jail and booked on the warrants, and was also charged with failing to provide a correct name and address.

Bangor police Officer Eric Tourtelotte arrested a convicted sex offender Tuesday afternoon on an active warrant.

Tourtelotte reported that at about 5 p.m. he went to a Garland Street address and arrested William Ahrendt, 44, of Bangor on a warrant for failing to register a new address as a sex offender.

Tourtelotte said Ahrendt was cooperative.

Bangor police arrested a Massachusetts driver on an OUI charge early Wednesday.

Officer Wade Betters reported that at about 1:15 a.m. he was inbound on Main Street when he saw a gray SUV run a red light at the intersection with Railroad Street. The SUV turned onto Railroad Street, then onto Summer Street.

Betters said he followed the SUV and activated his blue lights, eventually pulling the vehicle over.

Betters said he could smell alcohol in the air as he walked up to the vehicle. The driver, Adam Sutton, 43, of Medfield, Mass., admitted having “a few” drinks. His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, Betters said.

Sutton told Betters he knew Betters was just doing his job, and offered to let his girlfriend drive the rest of the way.

Sutton performed poorly on sobriety tests. He was arrested and taken to the station, where a breath test registered 0.14 percent blood alcohol. He was summoned for operating under the influence, and released.
