HARRINGTON – Sarah Beal drove in the game-winning run on a single in the seventh inning as Jonesport-Beals tipped Narraguagus 5-4 in high school softball play Friday afternoon.
Beal also hit a double and two singles with three RBIs. Tina Beal singled twice and drove in a run for the Royalettes.
Missy Barbee had two singles and a double with two RBIs for the Knights. Amanda Fickett had a double and two singles, and Chelsea Baker had an RBI double.

Littlefield finished with three singles and two RBIs, winning pitcher Kasse Brown (nine strikeouts) added a double, two singles and two RBIs, Cami Cousineau posted a double, two singles and an RBI, Chelsey Nicastro had a double and single, and Arrika Knights hit two singles.
For the Pandas, Shelby Pickering slammed a two-run homer and had two singles and another RBI. Marci Moors contributed three singles and an RBI.

At Hampden Thursday, Erin Gray’s three-run double broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning for unbeaten Bangor.

Jenna Shue singled twice for Hampden, while Emily Thompson doubled. Erika Veinote and Kayla Wass combined to pitch a four-hitter for the Broncos.

Houlton sweeps Madawaska
At Houlton, the Shiretowners bashed Madawaska pitching with 31 hits and swept a doubleheader 16-3 and 14-2.
In the first game, Natasha Ritchie and Michelle Ives combined on a two-hitter while Anna Lenentine provided more than enough offense with a second-inning grand slam and a single for five RBIs. Ritchie had a solo homer and an RBI single, and Sarah Harbison had a double, single and two RBIs.
Monica Thibeault hit an RBI single and Sarah Nadeau singled for the only other Owls hit.
In the second game, Ives threw a four-hitter and Lenentine again led the offense with a three-run homer and four total RBIs. Ritchie had a three-run homer, a triple and a single. Alysson Foster had three singles while Michelle Varney added two singles and an RBI.
Singles by Beth Gerard, Erin Pelletier, Nadeau and Thibeault were the only Owls hits.
