DOVER-FOXCROFT – Katie Delong hit a double and two singles to drive in a pair of runs and lead Presque Isle past Foxcroft Academy 19-12 in the first game of a Class B softball doubleheader Saturday.
The Wildcats completed the sweep by winning the second game 20-1.
In the first game, Kiley Pelletier had a pair of singles for Presque Isle.
Randi Kennedy hit two home runs and a single to knock in five runs for Foxcroft Academy and Sami Hall had a double and three singles with two RBIs.

Libby faced the miminum 15 batters in the five-inning game, as the only batter to reach base – via a walk – was thrown out trying to steal.
Jen Rollins had a homer, two singles and two RBIs for the Red Devils, Jen Griffiths had a homer, single and two RBIs. Shawna Bell doubled twice and drove in five runs, while Lindsay Mitchell had a double, single and two RBIs.
In the second game, Traci Underhill had five singles, a double and five RBIs for Central. Renee Trafton had three singles, a double and six RBIs, while Bell added three doubles, a single and three RBIs.

At Hermon, Kristen Oakes pitched a one-hit shutout with seven strikeouts as Hermon won the first game of a doubleheader, 4-0. Mount Desert Island came back to win the second game 10-8.
In the first game, Shannon Wiggin had three singles and two RBIs to give Oakes plenty of support. Marissa McLeod added a pair of singles.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Shawn Grass laid down a suicide squeeze for the game-winning RBI as the Ponies won game two of a doubleheader with Presque Isle, 5-4. The Wildcats won the opener, 3-0.

At Hermon, Phil Cayford hit a triple and single and scored three runs to lead Hermon past Mount Desert Island 10-2 in the first game. The Hawks won the second game 7-4.

At Searsport, Nick Dakin broke a scoreless tie with a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Vikings remained unbeaten.
Drew Mercier led off the Searsport sixth with a double and scored on Dakin’s blast. The Vikings added two more runs in the inning, one scoring on Ryan Chute’s suicide squeeze and the second on a double steal.
Dakin finished with a double and single, and also earned the pitching win with six shutout innings of work.
Cory Worcester took the tough-luck loss, allowing just five hits while striking out 15. Worcester also had two singles.
