I would like to comment on Karen Hughes’ interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN the evening of the March for Women’s Lives, April 25. Yes, Ms. Hughes, the “founding conviction of our country” is the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

Without the right to choose, many women will no longer have life, certainly not liberty and quite likely not happiness. This administration needs to stop putting all of its funding in abstinence-only programs. Federal funding for reproductive health clinics, condoms, low-cost birth control and emergency contraception are where changes in the number of abortions will be realized.
