BANGOR – Vice President Dick Cheney is expected to visit Bangor on Monday, May 10, to speak at a campaign rally, according to Republican Party officials.
A time and place for the event had not been set as of late Thursday, but it will be open to the public. Tickets can be obtained by calling the Bush-Cheney headquarters in Augusta at 1-866-633-2874.
More details are expected to be released today.
Maine is considered one of 17 battleground states in the 2004 election because of the state’s independent voting history and the relatively slim margin by which President Bush lost here in 2000.
