BANGOR – The Bangor Lumberjacks baseball team will hold a meet-and-greet session from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Sea Dog restaurant on 26 Front St.

Fans are invited to meet the new team and get autographs. The Lumberjacks’ mascot, Jack Timber, will be in attendance, as well Barney the Sea Dog.

The Lumberjacks opened spring training workouts this week at the new John Winkin Stadium on the campus of Husson College. Twenty-eight hopefuls, including 13 pitchers and 15 position players, are competing for 22 roster spots on the Northeast League team.

The Lumberjacks begin their 2004 season on the road in New Jersey, and open at home on Thursday, June 3. Call 947-1900 for more information.
