MANSFIELD, CONN. -Leon Galemba knocked a two-run double to cap a three-run third inning Saturday, helping lift Eastern Connecticut to the Little East Conference baseball championship with a 9-3 victory over the University of Southern Maine.

Scott Hawyard belted a solo homer for the winners while Zach Mehrbach added a two-run single.

Tip Fairchild notched an RBI groundout for the Gorham-based Huskies. Brian Marshall doubled and scored on a wild pitch for USM.
