HERMON – Ricky Morse of St. Albans earned his second win of the season Sunday, taking the checkered flag in the Coca-Cola Limited Sportsman series 50-lap feature race at Speedway 95 in Hermon.

Morse got his second win of the young season, surviving eight caution flags while beating out Mike Thayer of Hudson and Jason Thayer of Hermon. Chris Pangburn of Easton finished fourth and Greg Mose of St. Albans wound up fifth.

Wiscasset Speedway

Nick Reno of West Bath raced to victory in the 25-plap Limited Sportsman feature at Wiscasset Speedway on Saturday night to highlight a card shortened by rain and lightning. Dustin Barrows of Owls Head placed second, followed by Puncin St. Clair of Liberty.

Other winners were Augusta’s Ed Trask in the Mini Cup feature and Wayne Ambrose of Brunswick in the Flagpole feature.

Unity Raceway

Rain forced the cancellation of Saturday’s action at Unity Raceway. With the visiting Mini Cup Tour on the docket, Unity was able to complete qualifying races in four divisions. The remainder of the program will be made up during the next few weeks.

Added to the regular program this Saturday will be the rained-out Budweiser Super Sportsman Triple Crown series number one and Maine State Lottery Pro Stock events. Saturday’s card begins at 5:30 p.m. Call 948-5232 or 314-1651 for more information.

Winterport, Oxford ppd.

Rain forced postponement of racing at Oxford Plains Speedway and Winterport Dragway. Each track will resume regular schedules next weekend.
