BANGOR – Bangor High School student Francesca Anderson, 16, has been awarded the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship. The scholarship covers a year of study in Germany, the cost of which is about $8,000. Anderson was chosen by the nonprofit international high school exchange organization AFS.

BANGOR – Bangor High School student Francesca Anderson, 16, has been awarded the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship.
The scholarship covers a year of study in Germany, the cost of which is about $8,000. Anderson was chosen by the nonprofit international high school exchange organization AFS.
During her stay, Anderson will live with a host family, attend school, and participate in receptions and meetings with German and American government officials.
Anderson plans to visit U.S. Rep. Michael Michaud and participate in a diplomacy workshop organized by the U.S. Department of State during her pre-departure orientation in September in Washington, D.C.
