ROCKLAND – Dianne Grade singled, stole second and rode home on Nicole Clark’s double, all with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday, as Rockland pulled out a 5-4 high school softball victory over Mount View.

Stacia Matthews hit an RBI single for Rockland behind winner Caitlin Hynes, who struck out nine.

Cheryl Stevens singled twice for Mount View of Thorndike.

At Ellsworth, Nicole Smith gave up one run on four hits and a walk while fanning four to lead Bucksport to victory.

Alice Andrews tripled for the Golden Bucks and Katie Hurd singled twice.

Victoria Jones had two doubles for Ellsworth and Catie Cravens hit a RBI double.

At Blue Hill, Jessie MacDonald singled three times with an RBI for the Golden Bucks.

Terren Hall singled, doubled, and brought in two runs, while Alice Andrews had a triple.

Robin Rioux had a triple and Chelsea Doody had a double and an RBI for the Eagles.

At Pittsfield, Nicole Hubbard’s two-run single and Lauren Overlock’s RBI double keyed a five-run fifth inning that erased a 2-0 deficit and put the Lions ahead for good.

Hubbard had a triple to go with her single and drove in four runs. Overlock added a sacrifice fly and freshman Steph Whittier collected the win with a seven-hitter.

Ashley Currier’s two singles, Macky Sullivan’s triple and Kasey Dodge’s RBI double led Maine Central Institute.

At Blue Hill, Jody Pinkham hit a ball to the left side that was misplayed in the top of the seventh inning and the Tigers wound up scoring four runs to beat the Eagles.

Rachael Robinson hit a solo home run for Sumner of East Sullivan and Holly Stanwood had two singles with an RBI.

Christy Moon hit a solo homer and a single for two RBIs for George Stevens Academy.

At Woodland, Washington Academy of East Machias scored eight runs in the first inning on its way to victory.

Mary Mawhinney doubled and singled with three RBIs to pace the Raiders, while Megan Look singled twice and plated three runs. Sara Livingston added two singles and an RBI to back winner Justine Ramsdell.

Kaitlyn Leeman doubled and singled and Tiffany Wormell singled twice for Woodland.

At Searsport, Dani Graves pitched a one-hitter, striking out 12, and also tripled as the Patriots gained a victory.

Ashlei McMahon singled twice, doubled and drove in three runs for Penquis of Milo. Heather Anthony had two singles, a double and three RBIs.

Nori Francis-Metzger singled for the Vikings.

At Deer Isle, Rachel Church drove in six runs with two singles and a double to pace the Royalettes to victory.

Heather Hutchinson had an RBI double and Helen Eaton had a triple for Deer Isle-Stonignton.

At Blue Hill, Harrison Hines walked, advanced on a Blake Wessel single, moved up on a walk and scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Eagles prevailed.

Adam Cousins tripled and singled for George Stevens Academy, while Wessel finished with two singles and an RBI. Will Rosenthal scattered seven hits, striking out 13 and walking three.

A.J. Pennartz singled three times with an RBI for Sumner of East Sullivan and Andy Allen added an RBI single.

Adam Cousins paced George Stevens Academy with a two-run homer, triple, single and three RBIs. Collin Henry posted three singles (RBI) and Blake Wessel added an RBI double.

Nye Gifford, Joey Carmichael and Robbie Pushard singled for Bucksport.

Stephen Newell, Craig Moody, Jesse Cross, Adam Hunt and Mark McClellan singled for Woodland.
