BREWER – Peter Jenkins, a teacher at Brewer High School, has been honored as a 2003-04 Technology Education Outstanding Teacher by the U.S. Air Force. Jenkins recently was presented with an engraved walnut plaque and tape measure during a ceremony.

Jenkins’ students nominated him for the award by logging onto www.teched101.com, a Web site for technology education teachers and students. They submitted a short essay explaining why he should be honored.

One of the 250 award recipients will be selected as Teacher of the Year and have a picture and profile published in the May 2005 calendar page of the “Technology Teachers’ 12-Month Planning Guide.”
