Do you really think God cares if people believe in him or not?
Before the war in Iraq, the Zen was: “Because no weapons were found proves there are weapons there.”
Now, because our troops there are being fired on for being occupiers, it proves there are terrorists there. That means we must stay there until they stop firing at us. Sounds like Israel’s “logic” to me.
At this very moment, President Bush has the power to forever lock up anyone he says is a terrorist: without a trial, a lawyer, or any judicial review. Bush even gets to define “terrorist” and “terrorism.”
The current popular biblical novel about people suddenly disappearing because of “the Rapture” can be used to make people think all these sudden, unexplained disappearances are a good thing – when indeed this is a bad thing.
It’s not a sign of paranoia to mistrust those who are not trustworthy. How many more lies do people need from Bush and those who want all this power before we stop trusting them?
Must they wait for proof? Isn’t Iraq enough proof? Must they, too, become the “disappeared ones?”
Think about this. This is our present situation, not some possible one.
