The Maine Boer Goat Association changed its name to Boer Goat Breeders of Maine at a recent meeting to more closely reflect the group’s mission: to better the meat goat industry in Maine through the use of superior Boer goat genetics.

The organization also elected new officers to one-year terms. George Martikke was elected president followed by Vice President Rod Harrington, Secretary Joanne Gorey and Treasurer Rose Martikke.
