ROCKLAND – A 40-year-old man who attended the Rockland District High School graduation ceremony Tuesday, slipped outdoors during the event and slashed a tire on a vehicle that belonged to a female acquaintance, police said Wednesday.

After a witness reported the incident to Sgt. Jeffrey McLaughlin, who was assisting at the graduation, a knife was confiscated from Ronald Dodd of Rockland and he was summoned for criminal mischief, Deputy Chief Wallace Tower said Wednesday.
