BANGOR – Dr. Richard Bach, principal of Bangor Christian Schools, has announced the valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2004.
Graduation and baccalaureate ceremonies will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 11, in the Bangor Baptist Church auditorium.
Valedictorian is Kellie Anne Wiswell, daughter of Kevin and Naomi Wiswell of Clinton. She will attend the University of Prince Edward Island, where she will pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Wiswell has participated in varsity soccer, varsity cheering and varsity track.
She was class treasurer for four years and a member of the National Honor Society, for which she was president her senior year. She was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, for which she was vice president her senior year and she also was a member of the math team. She was a Wendy’s High School Heisman state finalist. She also was awarded the Maine Principals’ Award. Wiswell volunteers at the Ross Manor in Bangor.
Salutatorian is Steven Paul-Lewis Blake, son of Michael and Susan Blake of Glenburn.
He plans to attend the University of Maine where he earned the top scholar award for a full-tuition scholarship. He will study civil engineering.
Blake has participated in many activities including varsity soccer and varsity baseball, and he also has been a member of the math team.
He earned the rank of Eagle Scout this year, the highest award attainable in Scouting.
