CASTINE -Woodland’s Kaitlyn Leeman and Rockland’s Caitlyn Grant will play for the Maine Maritime women’s basketball team next year, the school announced Thursday.

Leeman, a 5-foot-2 point guard for the Dragons, was an All-Maine honorable mention and a member of the Eastern Maine Class C all-tourney team this season. She was the Class D MVP in 2003. Grant, a 5-7 guard, helped the Tigers advance to the Eastern Maine Class B tourney for the past two years.

MMA also announced Alyssa Burns, a former Dirigo of Dixfield standout, will transfer to the Castine school from Division II American International College. Burns was a third-team All-Mainer in 2003. Valerie Robitaille, a 5-10 post player from Quebec, will also join the team.
