ORONO – Retired music educator Dale Huff of Abbot has been inducted into the Maine Music Educators Hall of Fame.

Huff was presented the honor on May 21 at the Maine Music Educators Conference Banquet held at the University of Maine.

Jeffrey Priest, Old Town High School band director, nominated him.

Huff taught in public schools for 36 years, 25 years with the Millinocket School Department and 11 years with the Fort Fairfield School Department.

He also has held positions in the Maine Music Educators Association.

Huff is a graduate of Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford. He attended college at Northern Conservatory of Music in Bangor and received his master’s degree from Vandercook School of Music in Chicago.
