LYNN, Mass. – The North Shore Spirit extended their winning streak to three Friday with a 6-4 come-from-behind win over the Bangor Lumberjacks in Northeast League action at the New Fraser Field.

The Spirit used a six-run eighth inning, highlighted by Yuri Sanchez two-run triple, to overcome a four-run deficit.

Tim Hart picked up the win in relief and Ryan Bicondoa worked the ninth for his third save.

With Bangor leading 4-0 in the eighth, North Shore loaded the bases with no outs. Frank Charles’ infield grounder would score a run when Lumberjack pitcher John Rohlfing made an errant throw to the plate.

Joe Hastings followed with a sacrifice fly and Brian Macchi and Onix Mercado each added an RBI single. Yuri Sanchez then doubled to the gap in right-center, plating Macchi and Mercado and giving the Spirit a 6-4 advantage.

Bangor put two on the board in the first. Derry Hammond drove in a pair with a single to left.

The Lumberjacks added to their lead in the second on a leadoff double by Willie King and an RBI single by Brad Hargraves.

Aaron Dean (0-0) takes the mound for the Spirit on Saturday night and will face Bangor’s Adam Thomas (2-1) at 7:05 p.m.
