ORNEVILLE – Fire destroyed a trailer and a small barn on Route 16 Monday evening.

Milo Fire Chief David Preble said that at about 6:30 p.m. occupants of the trailer reported that the small attached barn had caught fire.

Brownville has an automatic aid arrangement with Milo, Preble said, and LaGrange also was asked to assist. By the time fire crews arrived, both trailer and barn were in flames.

Preble said the fire was under control at 7:04 p.m., but both structures were lost. Nobody was hurt. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
