CAPE ELIZABETH – Physicians, nurses, EMTs and non-medical volunteers are needed to help staff the medical tent at the upcoming Peoples Beach to Beacon 10K Road Race.

Organizers want to make sure there will be enough medical personnel to adequately treat runners suffering from race-related injuries or heat conditions. The Peoples Beach to Beacon also provides professional liability coverage to medical personnel who volunteer.

The race will be held Sunday, Aug. 1, and begins at 8 a.m.
