But ‘never a mandate’

President Bush likes to invoke President Reagan’s legacy while justifying his own policies and beliefs. We should all contemplate Ron Reagan’s eulogy of his father on June 11. He said that his father considered it his God-given responsibility to make the world a better place. Responsibility, but “never a mandate.”
