QUEBEC CITY, Quebec – Eddie Lantigua’s sacrifice fly with one out in the sixth scored what proved to be the winning run in Quebec’s 4-3 victory over the Bangor Lumberjacks Wednesday night.

Lefthander Danny Prata (3-1) outdueled Bangor’s Jerry Long (1-2) with seven innings of four-hit one-run ball to get the win. Long allowed five hits and four runs in seven innings.

The Lumberjacks, who have lost five of their last seven games, slip to 10-10 and fourth in the Northeast League’s North Division. Third-place Quebec is now 12-7.

Buck McNabb led the Capitales with two singles and Lantigua finished with two RBIs.

Shortstop Shin Uchino hit a solo home run and doubled while Jake Whitesides had a double, a single, an RBI and a stolen base to pace the Lumberjacks.

Bangor scored twice in the first on Whitesides’ one-out single to center and a two-out throwing error that allowed Whitesides to score. Bangor’s last run came in the eighth on Uchino’s homer.
