Smith collects ’95’ victory

HERMON – Jesse Smith of Carmel battled early with Artie Maguire Jr. of Bucksport and then finished strong for the final 15 laps to capture the Little Enduro feature at Speedway 95 Wednesday night.

Smith battled with Maguire for the first five laps and through two red flags for accidents before taking the lead for the final 15 laps in his first appearance of the season.

John Luce of Carmel worked his way through the pack to post a second-place finish, followed by Patrick Downey of Ellsworth, John Kalel II of Orrington and Sam Whitmore of Corinth.
