The community owes a special tribute to Julia Butler of Eddington for organizing the Flag Day ceremonies for several years. This year’s ceremony at the Bangor Waterfront provided a patriotic display of music, speakers and history. It “ignited the spark,” to remind us of how proud we should be of our heritage that has secured our freedom – making patriotism contagious. May Old Glory forever wave.
